Is Uganda safe for tourists?

Yes. Uganda is one of the friendliest countries in Africa, known for its warm hospitality and welcoming culture. Most tourist destinations are safe, especially when visiting with reputable tour operators like Tatu. As with any travel destination, visitors are encouraged to follow local guidelines and take normal safety precautions.

Uganda is a year-round destination, but the dry seasons (December to February and June to September) are ideal for wildlife safaris, gorilla trekking, and outdoor adventures. The weather is generally warm, with average temperatures ranging from 21°C to 25°C (70°F to 77°F). December to February is considered the best season.

Yes. Most international visitors require a tourist visa to enter Uganda. The e-Visa can be applied for online before arrival at only $50, and East Africa Tourist Visas are also available for combined trips to Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda. Some countries are visa exempted while traveling to Uganda.
